Heavily armoured body with a reddish-brown colour. Lighter colour underneath. The fossil is possibly the best preserved ever discovered.
Description
The genus is known from a fossil discovered in 2011 in Alberta, Canada. According to estimates, these dinosaurs weighed 1400 kg and they reached a length of about 5.5 meters. The scientific name for the species honors Mark Mitchell who had unearthed the fossil from the surrounding sediments. When the fossil was examined, remnants of a reddish-brown pigment were found, indicating that the animal had a colorful upper surface.
Made of PVC, painted with non-toxic acrylic paints.
