Elasmosaurus, the Late Cretaceous, North American plesiosaur (not a dinosaur) that lived about 80.5 million years ago in the great internal seaway that covered much of present-day North America. Measuring 10.3 meters (34 ft) long, the model depicts Elasmosaurus in the act of turning to attack its prey.
