The Lusitanon has a powerful body. The head has a slightly convex bridge of the nose and the eyes are large and expressive. The neck is arched, the withers are well marked and the trunk is broad and deep with a strong loin and back. The cross is strong, rounded and closed. The mane and tail have a long, substantial and glossy mane.
