Goliath grouper is a saltwater fish found in the western and eastern Atlantic as well as the eastern Pacific. It is the largest species in the sea bass family. At most it can be 250 cm long and weigh 455 kg, although most fish do not grow much longer than 150 cm.

Description
The species is a large, roughly built fish with a broad head and small eyes. The basic color is grey, grey-green, dark yellow or brown with small, dark spots on the head, body and fins.
