The Papo Beaver is an impressive model of the famously industrious dam-building creature. This curiously busy and hardworking mammal is depicted in a standing, crouched position, resting on its back webbed feet and strong tail.
Description
The European beaver grows to around 75 cm in length and weighs 20-30 kg. The coat is brown and very dense; on a square centimeter of skin there are about 23,000 hairs (compare with a human, who has 600 hairs / cm2). The fur protects the animal from the cold because they live mostly in streams. They close both eyes and ears when diving and can be underwater for up to 15 minutes.
It is painted almost entirely dark brown with beautiful furry detailing on its body to highlight its wooly fur, while its eyes, nose, webbed feet and large scaly tail are almost entirely black. This eager beaver is the perfect new addition to your wild animal collection.
