The emperor penguin is the largest and heaviest living penguin species and is endemic to Antarctica. The male and female are equal in both plumage and size, which amounts to about 120 centimeters. They weigh on average between 22 and 37 kg.
Description In the icy Arctica and Antarctica, animal life is rich and vast. Life here is hard, but the species have adapted perfectly to their environment. Some hibernate during the coldest months and some, like the empire penguin, survives by huddling together in large groups for warmth and comfort. During the short summer months the sun never sets and the animals eat and store energy to, once again, face the darkness of the winter.
These model figures are made from PVC plastic, free from phthalates. They are hand-painted with extreme attention to detail and quality.
