Pelicans are medium-sized birds that nest and forage near water, their food consists of fish and other aquatic animals. The breeding takes place in colonies and they are monogamous.

Characteristics:
Like all Safari figures, this pelican model was designed and painted by hand for life-like realism. The pelican has a huge appetite and eats almost anything such as fish, toads, turtles, crustaceans and sometimes even other birds.
Size and Color:
Although there are subtle differences between the different pelican species, they are by and large predominantly white with shades of black along the neck and wings.
This model is 2.75 inches long and 2.3 inches high.
