The biggest difference in appearance between a moose cow and a moose bull is the horns. Males have a large, spreading set of antlers while moose have no antlers.
Description
The size of moose varies depending on the sex, the species, the subspecies and the environment in which the moose lives. For example, the moose in Norrland are generally larger than the moose in southern Sweden. In Sweden, a moose cow usually has a withers height between 150 and 170 cm, a moose bull between 180 and 210 cm. At most, a moose bull can reach a withers height of 230 cm.
