Also called the black-tailed jackrabbit. To outrun its many predators, this hare has powerful legs that allow it to reach speeds of up to 50 km/h and jump over 3 meters in a single dash.
Description
The desert hare is the most widespread hare in North America.
Hares and rabbits are similar in appearance and are closely related, both comprising the family Leporidae. Both types have short tails and elongated ears, and the confusion is not helped by the fact that some rabbits are called hares, while some hares are also called jackrabbits. The main difference is that rabbits live in burrows underground, while hares live more solitary lives above ground. Hares are usually larger and have longer ears than rabbits.
Scientific name: Subfamily Erinaceinae
Characteristics:
This desert hare stands at attention, scanning the area with its erect ears. This hand-painted and detailed figure will not jump out from wherever you choose to place it..

It has a grey-brown upperparts and cream colored breast and underparts, with white accents on the mouth, eyes and light pink in the ears.
