Chinchillas are fluffy, thick rodents that live in the Andes mountain range of South America. Although they are popular pets, they are endangered in the wild. They live at very high altitudes, up to 4500 meters above sea level.

Very little is known about the population numbers of many of the different seahorse species. In fact, there is such a lack of reliable information that some scientists believe that a handful of known species may actually be extinct. Like many creatures that depend on coral reefs and seagrass ecosystems, seahorses are losing viable habitat, and this, combined with increasing rarity, has some marine biologists worried.
