Concavenator (Hunchback Hunter). It is also distinguished by a triangular crest of bone over the lower back, it looks like it has a hump on its back.
Description
History:
The discovery of feathers in Concavenator turned scientists' previous theories about when feathers would have originated upside down.
Concavenator was a member of the superfamily Allosauroidea, which from an evolutionary perspective is not considered closely related to birds. Therefore, it is thought that feathers must have existed in some form in the last common ancestor of Carnosaurs and Coelurosaurs (if Concavenator really had feathers).
Scientific name: Concavenator corcovatus (“Humped Hunter from Cuenca”)
Characteristics:
This hand-painted accurate Concavenator model is posed in a walking position, possibly following prey. It has the dinosaur's unique hump over its hind legs.
Size and Color:
The Concavenator model is 6 ½ inches long and about 2 ¾ inches tall. The color is an orange-brown fading to cream underneath, with brown and white stripes along the back. It has a pair of red crests on its head and black claws.
The Concavenator is part of the Wild Safari® Prehistoric World collection
