The delta crocodile is the largest living reptile, a formidable apex predator that can grow to over 6 meters in length and weigh 1,200 kilograms. They can be found along the coast of the Bay of Bengal, the northern coast of Australia and the many islands in between.
Description
Saltwater crocodiles are actually much more intelligent than most people think. Not only do they communicate with each other and their offspring, but they can analyze patterns. For example, saltwater crocodiles sometimes spend a few days observing their prey, including when it sleeps, when it comes to the water to drink, and so on. They then use this information to determine the best time to attack.
