Description
Like many of the more niche species found in the now densely populated areas of the world, the Gibbon is suffering from a loss of its natural habitat and most species are classified as endangered on the status spectrum of the call. Fortunately, similar organizations and rehabilitation centers have been set up to care for, and in some cases reintroduce previously captured animals back into the wild.
Scientific name: Family Hylobatidae
Characteristics:
Although they are social with each other, Gibbons can be very territorial, so keep your distance! Like all our figures, this gibbon model is hand painted and professionally crafted and is an exceptional resource for decoration, education and play.
Size and Color:
Although Gibbons can come in many different colors, including black, tan, brown, white, and any shade in between, their most recognizable feature is their dark face. Sitting 5 inches wide and 2.5 inches tall, this figure is about the size of a soda can on its side.
The incredibly detailed Incredible Creatures® collection features scale models of reptiles, fish, invertebrates, mammals and more. Some of them are even scaled. With these larger animal figures you get closer to the life-like details.
