Honey bees are some of the hardest working creatures in the animal kingdom. Worker bees work tirelessly day in and day out their entire lives, and in the end each one produces only a fraction of a tablespoon of honey!

Did you know that honeybees pollinate more than 85% of the world's crops, including fruits, vegetables, nuts, cocoa beans, coffee and tea? When it comes to agriculture, honeybees are arguably the planet's most important animal! Unfortunately, due to human interference, honey bees are disappearing all over the world. Scientists are not quite sure why, but many factors such as pesticides and the emergence of varroa mites are some of the causes.

Characteristics:
Despite their wasp-like appearance, honeybees are mostly harmless. Hand painted and designed with superior accuracy, this honey bee is on the hunt for nectar!
Size and Color:
This honey bee model is colored with its iconic dark black head and legs, as well as a black and yellow striped body. It measures 5.5 inches long and 7 inches wide.
