The polar bear is at the top of the food chain in the Arctic marine system. In some places where melt away, however, the killer whale is taking over as top predator. They are very good swimmers and can swim up to 50 miles in the freezing water between the pack ice and land. Their huge frames act as snowshoes on the snow and as paddles in the water.
Description The babirusa is a unique member of the pig family known for its long, curving tusks. Its name means “deer pig” and refers both to the antler-like tusks, and the long, deer-like legs. Babirusa are only found in the Wallacea island group in Indonesia.
