As its name suggest, the giant squid is a cephalopod found in the deep recesses of the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. The biggest specimen recovered measured 43 feet, although some scientists believe they can grow to be even larger.
Description
History:
There’s is a noticeable lack of data in regards to the global population of the giant squid. However, despite the deficiency of information, experts believe they aren’t vulnerable or threatened simply due to how separated they are from human activities.
Because of its immense size, the giant squid is believed to be the second largest living mollusk. It is only smaller than the colossal squid, which is thought to have a mantle nearly twice as long.

Size and Color:
18 inches long and 2.3 inches tall, this model is as long as one and a half American sized rulers and as tall as a stick of lip balm stood upright. Giant squid are primarily pinkish red, but also have light gray and white accents along their body and tentacles.
