King Vultures are known for their brightly colored, unfeathered heads. This particular vulture is in a hunched pose, perched on a rocky outcropping, with its wings spread. Scientifically accurate and hand-painted, this figure is full of intricate details.
Description King vulture is a carrion-eating bird of prey that belongs to the New World vulture family. It places as the only species in the genus Sarcoramphus, but fossils from other species of the genus are known.
The king vulture is found mainly in tropical lowland forests of South and Central America, and its range extends from southern Mexico to northern Argentina and Brazil.
The king vulture is large and mainly white in color but has black feathers on its wings, tail and collar. Head and neck lack feathers. The skin here can have different colors, including yellow, orange, blue, purple and red. The king vulture has a conspicuous fleshy wart on its beak.

The king vulture is known for its colorful featherless heads. This particular vulture is in a crouched position, perched on a rocky cliff with its wings half extended. A meticulously hand-painted figure full of intricate details.
Size and Color:
This exotic model measures approximately 4 ¾ inches between the wingtips. It is just under 3 inches tall and about 2 ¾ inches from beak to tail. Our griffon vulture has the birds' distinctive white and black plumage, as well as the unique pinks, reds and yellows seen on its bald head. The legs have a light gray tone and stand on a dark gray stone.
