King of the Jungle! The lion is the second largest of the big cats, only the tiger is larger. Endemic to Africa and India, lions are the lion at the top of the food chain.
This model is of the larger type that Safari Ltd makes and the series is called the Wonderful Wildlife® collection. Hear his roar, if not, you might be next in line for his menu.
Description Sometimes lions are called the king of the jungle, but they don't live in the jungle, but mostly on plains and savannahs. So strange! The name actually lives on from when there were many of them in India, where they also lived in the jungle. There are still a few left in India, but not nearly as many as before.
Scientific name: Panthera leo
Properties:
Complete with his famous dark brown mane representing a male lion, this model depicts the regal pose only fit for a king. If you saw one of these animals in person, you can hear the mighty roar that this model is preparing for.
Size and Color:
This lion model is 9.5 inches long and 5.25 inches tall. He may not have his own pack yet, but this lion will still flaunt his huge mane and gorgeous sand colored fur wherever you place him.
