The white wolf is also known as the Arctic wolf (polar wolf), the white wolf is a subspecies of gray wolf that is native to Canada and Greenland. Relatively small compared to other wolf species, the size of the white wolf does not match its outgoing nature, as they are known to approach humans without hesitation.
Description
The polar wolf (Canis lupus arctos) or the Greenland wolf is a subspecies of the wolf and can be found in northern Canada and the northern parts of Greenland. It is smaller than the common wolf and can be around 90 to 150 centimeters long (including the tail). Their height at the withers is between 65 and 80 centimeters. They weigh between 45-80 kg and they have small ears.
The polar wolf is one of two wolf species that still has its original range, due to the fact that humans have difficulty living in Arctic areas. They have white fur to camouflage themselves better in their environment.
