The Siberian tiger or Amur tiger is a subspecies of the tiger and the largest living feline on earth.
This model is of the larger type that Safari Ltd makes and the series is called the Wonderful Wildlife® collection. A tiger where stripes in the richly detailed fur create a natural look.
Description
The Siberian tiger is listed by the IUCN as critically endangered. However, the number of Siberian tigers has increased slightly since the 1990s, when the number of animals was down to around 350. In 2018, there are estimated to be around 540 Siberian tigers.
Scientific name: Panthera tigris altaica
Characteristics:
Like Bengal tigers, the stripes on the Siberian tiger are completely unique to the individual. With that in mind, this hand painted and professionally sculpted figure is one of a kind!
Size and Color:
The model is 10.5 inches long and 4.5 inches high. Siberian tigers have lighter red-orange fur with contrasting narrow black stripes.
