Description
Carnotaurus was a genus of carnivorous dinosaur from the late Cretaceous period. It lived about 70 million years ago. The only skeleton found was very well preserved and was unearthed in Argentina. Carnotaurus had a length of 9 meters and an estimated weight of 1.5 to 2 tons. The snout was rounder than its relatives and the teeth looked like curved knife blades. That probably made it one of the most dangerous predators of its time.
