Description

The galaxy is on fire! Warmaster Horus has betrayed the Emperor and plunged the Empire into a civil war like no other! An age of darkness has descended upon the galaxy. It is a war of brother against brother, Space Marine against Space Marine, and the vast armies of the Empire have turned their might upon themselves in a cataclysmic inferno of fire and blood.

In Warhammer: The Horus Heresy , you pit mighty armies of superhuman warriors against each other in apocalyptic tabletop battles. Choose your favorite legion – from the chivalrous Dark Angels to the insidious Alpha Legion – build your own army from a stunning array of miniatures, and challenge other players in wargames of breathtaking tactical depth. The story of the Horus Heresy forms the foundation of Warhammer 40,000 ’s rich backstory, and this box set is the perfect first step into the epic conflicts that reshaped the galaxy.

The Warhammer: The Horus Heresy – Saturnine box is packed with content: a rulebook with background and lore about the galaxy-shaking civil war, beautiful art and photography, and the basic rules you need to play. The box also includes 50 plastic miniatures – including an impressive Saturnine Dreadnought and a range of Space Marines in MKII “Crusade” armour – so you can build two opposing forces for play right out of the box, or start building your own Legion army. In addition, you’ll get game accessories and reference materials to fully immerse yourself in the Age of Darkness . Whether you like to build, paint, play story-driven campaigns or play balanced matches, this box gives you a complete start in the 31st millennium.

The box contains 50 plastic miniatures in several parts:
– 1x Saturnine Praetor
– 1x Centurion in MKII power armor
– 1x Saturnine Dreadnought
– 1x Araknae Quad Accelerator Platform
– 6x Saturnine Terminators
– 40x Legionaries in MKII power armor
– 36x Disintegrator weapon upgrades

The miniatures are easy to customize: the Centurion has two different head options, the Praetor can be equipped with an axe or a hammer, and has cosmetic choices like alternative heads and shoulder guards.

The Saturnine Dreadnought can be armed with photon incinerators or concussion resonators as secondary weapons, as well as various heads and armor plates.

Saturnine Terminators come with six plasma bombards, six dual heavy disintegrators, and six disruption fists with optional particle splitters, so you always have the right weapon for the right target.

Space Marine Legionaries in MKII armor include parts to build sergeants, Legionaries with nuncio-vox, augury scanners, and vexilla. Each sergeant has three alternative heads and a variety of weapon choices. Legionaries with bolters can be equipped with bayonets or chain bayonets, and heads and accessories—including grenades, pistol holsters, and pouches—are interchangeable between models. The box also includes disintegrator weapons to upgrade your infantry unit to Veteran Tactical Squads.

The miniatures have no specific Legion markings, allowing them to be used in any Space Marine army, regardless of whether you are loyal to the Emperor or have joined the Horus Rebellion.
